Rhapis excelsa 'TENZAN'
Rhapis excelsa 'TENZAN' variety - 6' (2m) tall
sent to Kew Gardens in 1987 as a small 5" (10 cm) pot plant.

After growing many different tropicals for more than 30 years, I decided to semi-retire and only grow Cycas revoluta and Rhapis excelsa.  At summers end in 2007, we sold all of our Cissus ivy and Polyscias Ming Aralias to a wide spread group of customers all over the USA.

We continue to grow rare green varieties of Rhapis excelsa, some never shown on our website before.  Keep your eye on our Rhapis page where we will add new photos from time to time..

Our field planted Sago Palms are full of seed that will be ready after the first of the year.  We are already taking orders for Sago seed and pups for next year.

If you have a question about palms and cycads, visit the  International Palm Society message board for palm questions and information.

Don't miss our fun feature "Sammi Samurai's Seek & Find Poster" for kids (big kids too!)  Sammi is Rhapis Gardens cartoon mascot and is searching for 80 tiny creatures, critters, and objects in a palm jungle.  You'll have fun looking for them too!
